Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple entries by the same person using one or more email accounts will result in disqualification.
ODDS OF WINNING. Chances of winning depend on the number of entries received. Contest Providers are unaware of how many entries there may be.
HOW TO ENTER. Power Predictions is based on all 18 regular season games played by the Calgary Stampeders in 2008. After you register, proceed to the Enter Picks page. Select the outcome that you think will happen based on the questions asked and the potential answers given. For each correct outcome you predict, you will earn the points indicated for that selection. The riskier your pick, the more potential points you can earn.
Confirm your selections using the submit button at the bottom of the page. Follow all additional instructions listed on that page, observing all posted deadlines. The deadline for entering and/or changing submissions is posted on the page. No submissions will be accepted after the deadline for any reason. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of the Promotion will be the servers of the Contest Providers.
Notes:
Only one entry is allowed per regular season game per person and/or e-mail address.
You may change your picks any time before the applicable game deadline.
Any question that relates to an incomplete, postponed or cancelled game will not be scored for the purposes of the contest (unless the integrity of the question is NOT compromised in which case the question would still be included). All contestants would automatically receive zero points for that question. A game must be declared official before any points are awarded for that game.
Calculation/Posting of Scores and Standings:
Standings will be updated the day of each game. The sum of all your points earned from your correct predictions in each game will determine your point total and rank for that game. The sum of all your points earned from all games for which you have entered will determine your overall point total and rank.
Tie Breakers:
In the event of a tie for a Game Prize, the following tie-breaking procedures would be applied in order until the tie is broken:
First tie-breaking question: How many points will Calgary score in the game? The closer your predicted total is to the actual game total the better.
Second tie-breaking question: How many points will the opposing team score in the game? The closer your predicted total is to the actual game total the better.
The contestant with the best overall rank to date in the contest.
Time of entry for that game, with earlier being better. In the event you change your picks, the time you submit your final picks will be used for the purposes of the final tie-breaker.
In the event of a tie for any of the Segment or Overall Prizes the following tie-breaking procedures would be applied in order until the tie is broken:
The contestant with the best rank in the last game of the applicable prize period.
The contestant with the best rank in the second last game of the applicable prize period. This countback method would continue back through the applicable prize period of the contest schedule until the tie is broken.
Random draw.
